Indooroopilly Shopping Centre is the largest retail precinct west of the Brisbane CBD. It is currently undergoing a $450 Million renovation to make way for many more specialty stores and car parks. Today it comprises a post office, Myer, Kmart, Target, Wallace Bishop and many other specialty stores.
If you're looking for "David Jones" you'll find it at Toowong Village which is a smaller shopping centre including Coles & Kmart - located above the Toowong railway station and below the iconic blue mirrored glass Toowong Tower office building. Toowong has been compared to Sydney's second CBD, North Sydney.
There are two shopping centres near St Lucia - one is Toowong Village - it is the smaller of the two. It has a Kmart, Coles and David Jones plus lots of fashion stores and a library. Indooroopilly is the larger centre - with a Myer, Kmart, Target and Woolies. There are a lot of fashion stores and a library. There is also a cinema.
