Mackay, The city that government forgot

Everything in Mackay is 20 years behind. The money Mackay region brings into the state is mind boggling and we have the worst roads and infrasfructure that I have seen.
3 days of rain and 25% of our roads(or should I say "GOAT TRACKS") are almost impassable.
Mackay's new Stadium? What a joke! We have bigger houses than that here. Anna Bligh released a statement to spend 8 billion dollars on upgrading the Brisbane Exhibition grounds!!!! Our show grounds is nothing short of pathetic with 50+ year old ammenities and no parking.
Whenever Mackay people need to see a specialist, we have to travel to Brisbane or Townsville
In the past 10 years, Mackay's population has grown by approximately 40% and our industrial area has trippled in size with no extra access roads leading in and out of this area.We are in the process of the East West Connector being built but no other new roads have been implimented to help with the appauling road conditions here.Connors road, at the moment is barely passable and hasn't been much better for the last decade.
I noticed that most of our schools are on major thoroughfares in the suburbs and city, thus adding to the congestion and shocking driving conditions that exist in our region. Our town planers need to have a good look at what they are putting in place.
Our major thoroughfares cannot handle the traffic and our council has installed calming devices on all our backroads and areas to deter drivers using them.MORE CARBON EMISSIONS,fuel usage ,unneeded wear on vehicle suspension and increased noise to local residents.
I have lived here all my life and am disgusted with our local and state members of parliament for the lack of govt funding for our once enjoyable city. Nat
