"Mount Barney - Scenic Rim beauty."
Mount Barney is 130 kms south west of Brisbane and it is the second highest peak in South East Qld. Mount Barney is the remains of an ancient Focal Peak Shield Volcano. The area offers some great eco walks and guided mountain tours as well as bird watching and exploring the national park to see native flora and fauna. There are some great places to stay including the Mt Barney Lodge which offers wonderful facilities including conference rooms, school camps, several different packages, tours education etc. Being on the scenic rim there are some wonderful towns around the area with good property values and employment opportunities in the nearly larger towns.
