Reviews of Boambee East, NSW
"Safe and sound great family suburb"
Boambee East is a 10 min drive from Coffs Harbour and a 5 min drive from Sawtell, which due to its popularity has had the highest property value increases outside of sydney (25%+ per annum for several years running before the recent stalling of the market) Boambee East is a quiet, middle class neighbouhood mainly occupied by professionals, working families and retirees. Great for public transport (buses). There is very low to no crime (if you pick the right area- speak to a local for the best parts of town) Boambee East does back onto Toormnina, which does have a crime problem and is generally a lower class of suburb then ours. Sorry Toorminarites, that's just the facts.
I picked this neighbourhood to build after living here for years as a local police officer and it has the best of everything: reasonable property prices, low crime, nice neighbours, close to beaches, flat land (rare in Coffs area), shops, Sawtells 1st Avenue for Cafes and also still close to Coffs Harbour.

"A Relaxing Place to Live"
You can tell that Boambee East is a nice area when you see how well everyone maintains their lawns. The houses are good value and the neighbours are great (and mostly quiet). Moving the family up here from Sydney was the best lifestyle decision ever and I can highly recommend it. My wife and I bought our modern, 4-bed house for less than the price of an old, 2-bed unit on the Northern Beaches. Childcare is much cheaper than in Sydney and parking is free when you drive into the "city" for work!
