Reviews of Boorowa, NSW
"Nice little town"
We lived here for 4 months for work with our 2 young teenage boys. Caravan park were we stayed, so welcoming and laid back. Town has a skatepark and pool for the kids. IGA is small but has alot of what you need. Felt that the locals just treat you like one of them. We really loved our stay here. Cold in winter. Moved on as we are travelling and working around Aus.

"Diamond in the west"
real surprise after travelling through the night & waking in the morning to this beautiful town. Public facilities were immaculate. Locals were welcoming, happy to stop for a chat in the street. Great shops & cafe's. Interesting architecture, old homes etc. Glad to know there are still towns like that in NSW.

""Boorowa" looks like Berry's little cousin."
This beautiful town seems to inhibit very similar characteristics to Berry NSW. Rural Culture, Antiques, lively town from the morning until the afternoon, coffee shops that project you to a time of old. Walk into the Court House for lunch and a chat. Famous Pies are found in the main street and one of the most attractive churches in rural NSW " St. Patricks". The festivals are great, the steak lunch and dinner is fantastic with real australian beef from the locale.
Drive to Wyangala Dam for water sports or simply jump into the Boorowa local pool.
If you are ever near Yass or Young drive into to little boorowa, the home of the Superb Parrot and Sheep country. The rural Festivals are great fun!

"A beautiful, friendly place to live"
Boorowa is 1/2 hour from Young and Yass, 45mins to Cowra and just over 1 hour easy drive to Canberra. The area is about 11/2 hours from Wyangalla Dam (90% full) where there are plenty of recreational facilities for fishing, sking, & swimming.
Boorowa has some great shops, antique and wool centre as well as fantastic eating places, great pubs and art and craft centre. Borrowa is always a busy town centre with a great many tourists passing through.
Boorowa has a wonderful hospital, doctor and nurses with physio and emergency department. There is a fantastic aged care facility including villa and hostel accomodation. The schools in Boorowa are excellent with public and catholic education available.
Many people travel to Canberra on a daily basis for work (some car pool). Housing in Boorowa is much cheaper than Canberra with a rural lifestyle thrown in. I wouldn't live anywhere else.

"Quiet sleepy town, not much to do"
This is a good place to stop in the park on a drive through. Living here is very rural, not much choice of anything, but it is quite central to visit Young, Yass, Cowra, with some cool little villages within an hour, eg Koorawatha and Binalong.
