"Buxton a hidden gem"

Lived in Buxton for about 7 years. That is nearly 15 years ago now. However the town has retained its village atmosphere. Great place to bring up children and reasonable priced housing. I sort of wish I never left. However our house and yard were too small for children reaching teenage years. Plenty of nature and peace and quiet. The trade off is a drive of about 10 kms to get to major shopping centre. However there is a small shopping centre in village.

Reasonable priced housing
Great community

Not great for

Very close to bush fires
Limited public transport
No major shops in village

"Nice and Quiet among the trees"

Located on the edge of National Park, Buxton is a nice quiet village in the Wollondilly Shire. Affordability is good and homes range in age from 5-60 years old. There is one park with good facilities and a small cluster of shops (Newsagent, Takeaway). For major shopping, Picton and Tahmoor are approx 10mins away and Campbelltown as about 30mins.
