"Very low social economic area"

Chipping Norton is just a flash name for Liverpool. If you think that this place is great then you've obviously lived in some shithole places. Liverpool is the 3rd worst suburb in Syndey. You've obviously not lived in a good suburb to think that chipping Norton is great. Better off going to the Hills district.
Better services, better transport, better restaurants and better medical. Just simply better.

"Never seen the computer chips"

Internet connection profoundly slow compared to South Korea and Japan, but jokes aside, I’ve found the computer microchip and got adequate germanium. Soon, I’ll be master of condensed matter physics, and not live in the fluid dynamically inclined Chipping Norton. Chipping Norton’s transport links are not excellent, but there are some extraordinary water views and the housing is superb. Shops are abundant with their own designated shopping centre, but you’ll need to go out to Liverpool for specialised shopping, which can be very crowded. Overall, a decent place to reside, but industrial services dominate and thus, it may look unattractive, lackadaisical and bland to the inner west, north shore or eastern suburb eye. But don’t be deceived. Not extremely safe like the suburbs of the north west but decent compared to neighboring counterparts in the south west.

"Nice Suburb"

We are considering moving to this suburb from the West and while we liked the suburb, it seems to have a mosquito problem.

"Safe and Sound"

Chipping Norton or colloquially known by locals as "Chippo" is a well-to-do suburb in the usually not so well-to-do South Western Sydney region.
The people who live here are down to earth Australians who are probably more often than not of Anglo or European decent with other ethnicities who have successfully assimilated into the Australian way of life.
The whole suburb except for the southern border of Newbridge Road is bounded by the Georges river and various Lakes so there are plenty of walking tracks and parklands to take advantage of, there is even a fitness station that overlooks Grand Flaneur beach next to the sailing club.

Great for

  • Lakes and river
  • Property values remain high
  • Safe and quiet
  • Close proximity to everything
  • Good quality local restaurants only a short stroll away

Not great for

  • No nightlife

"Love ittttt"

Well, I've lived in chipping Norton my whole life and personally compared to other suburbs it's amazing. It's the best of the west. It's going to have its ups and downs like any suburb. Chipping Norton is generally a peaceful area and is very quiet. Many complain about low flying planes but they really don't bother you. Chipping Norton is in a prime location. It's s but isolated but still within a good area. It is about 10-20 minutes from Liverpool shopping centre. It's not too far. My only complaint is public transport. The closest train station is Warwick farm, which, depending on where u live is about 5/10 minutes away. There are no bus services from the train station to chipping norton which is a bit of an inconvenience. People complain about litter and pollution and it has me baffled. I go down to the park and I see no litter. Chipping Norton may be a tad bit pricey but it's worth it. The Randwick Track is being built in Warwick farm. On NYE there is a party at the lake where famous people perform. It's great. It's a great multicultural area.

Great for

  • Property values remain high
  • Safe and quiet
  • Close proximity to everything
  • Good quality local restaurants only a short stroll away

Not great for

  • There isn't enough development with public transport
  • Low flying planes 24/7

"Premium location"

One of the best suburbs in the southwest without a doubt. Chipping Norton is a very well established suburb with a fantastic neighbourhood.
Magnificent generous sized homes, choice of great schools, few but great quality restaurants & cafes, close to excellent medical, dental & allied health facilities. Chipping Norton plaza has been revamped with clean local shopping grocers.
Close to the city & west bound motorways. Beautiful lake & parklands. Ideal and safe location for new, young, mid aged families as well as the elderly. A much awaited wharf / marina is being considered nearby Georges River. Can't wait.

Great for

  • Magnificent classy homes
  • Ferries to be operating nearby
  • Prestigious suburb profile
  • Property values remain high
  • Safe and quiet
  • Close proximity to everything
  • Good quality local restaurants only a short stroll away

"Perfect living!"

I have been living in Chipping Norton for over 5 years now and I have to say how nice this place is! Chipping Norton is ranked as one of the most affluent suburbs in south western Sydney and so it should be! Everywhere you look is a pleasure to the eye, nice, well-maintained houses with plenty of friendly down to earth people. There are many walking/biking tracks nearby along with many other public facilities. My house which backs onto the Chipping Norton Lake captures some amazing sunsets! This suburb is very peaceful and it is hard to believe that such a busy shopping centre is located 10 minutes away! Living in Chipping Norton may come at a price, however it is worth every cent if you wish to not only spend your life but give your children a safe and happy lifestyle.

Great for

  • Worth bragging about
  • Nice picnic areas
  • Safe
  • Property values remain high
  • Safe and quiet
  • Close proximity to everything
  • Good quality local restaurants only a short stroll away

"Don't be fooled by the big houses"

Worst place I have ever lived , filthy lakes , endless planes, poor public transport , the closest train station is on the worst train line known to man, surrounded by industrial area heavy traffic , needles laying around in parklands and lake edge, burnt out cars around industrial areas, illegal dumping in industrial areas, limited shops , don't be fooled by the big houses this place has Liverpool and Warwick farm on one side and bankstown on the other sirens everynight

Great for

  • None that I can think of

Not great for

  • Low flying planes 24/7
  • Filthy polluted lake
  • It is an industrial area - Liverpool & warick farm surroundings
  • Too many to mention but lets start with fake lakes

"A HIDDEN TREASURE - A PERFECT PLACE TO CALL HOME"

Being the local Real Estate Agent in Chipping Norton for over 15 years people may say that our comments on the suburb are a little bias but we can honestly say that we have seen Chipping Norton change and develop into the suburb it is today. We can still remember when we were selling vacant lots in Chipping Norton ready to be built on and now to find a vacant lot throughout Chipping Norton is the rarest piece of Real Estate here. As Real Estate Agent's we have found that once families move into the area they rarely move out, majority of our sales have been to clients that already live in Chipping Norton or have lived in Chipping Norton and are moving back into the suburb. Chipping Norton is the perfect suburb within the Southwest of Sydney. This peaceful suburb is a quiet, local, friendly, safe area which is family orientated. It is conveniently located close to the M5 which will take you directly to Sydney City. Throughout the year especially during the warmer months you can go for a stroll through Chipping Norton and you will be sure to pass by local residence that will not hesitate to say "Hi", kids riding their bikes and families taking advantage of the warmer weather and having a BBQ in the Park. Chipping Norton gives you direct access to:
- 4 Schools
- 3 Shopping Centres
- Various Bus Routes
- 1 Community Centre
- 3 Child Care Centres
- 1 Retirement Village
and the ever popular "Chipping Norton Lakeside Park" which provides for a perfect family atmosphere with BBQ'S, play equipment and access to a boat ramp to go straight in Chipping Norton Lake.

"Chipping Norton really is the prestigious suburb of the Southwest"

"CHIPPING NORTON HERE I COME!!"

I currently work in Chipping Norton, have friends that live in Chipping Norton and after spending a lot of time at their homes and practically living in Chipping Norton, I have decided, I'M BUYING MY OWN PLACE IN CHIPPING NORTON!! I absolutely LOVE the suburb, Its quiet, friendly, clean, very convenient to everything and yet in its own little pocket away from everything at the same time. Prices of properties are a little higher than its surrounding suburbs but like they say you get what you pay for and thats not saying the suburbs around are bad but they are just not Chipping Norton, I dont know but to me Chipping Norton just has this different vibe about it. There is not much night life but personally i think thats a positive if your living in the suburb.

Goodness me, I have been visiting Chipping Norton on and off for many years. All that I can say is that if you think that this is a good suburb then you've obviously lived in some shit holes then. It's very ugly and poorly looked after, no public transport and poor services. If you think this is nice go out and get a proper life. This area is ranked the 3rd worst area in Sydney for a reason.
