"Home Sweet Home"

I have lived here for 15 years. We moved from Parramatta area. Originally I was unsure about moving this far west. But with the M4 on and off ramp work/life has become easier. Over the years we have made many friends and have always been lucky enough to have great neighbours.

My children attended the local Sunflower Childcare Centre, that they loved and helped them make local friends, which would follow them on attending the local Claremont Meadows Public School. The local school is fantastic. The Teachers and Principal really care about the students. I recommend this school.

The zoned High School for Claremont Meadows is Kingswood High. This school had a bad reputation 15 years ago. But things have changed with the demographics of the area and the new Principal. People actually apply out of area to come to this school. Its increased greatly in popularity. Lots of money is being spent on the school. I recommend this school.

The people in my street are mostly young families. Very multicultural, people from many countries. Everyone is friendly and always there to lend a hand if needed. Some choose not to integrate, but thats ok too.

Claremont Meadows has a local shopping centre with IGA, hair dresser, doctor, dentist, chemist, bread shop and take away shop. It has everything you need if you just want to go local. A new shopping centre is being built on O'Connell Street. This will be called Caddens Corner. It will be a woolworths, gym and some little shops that I'm unsure of.

We love it here and glad we made the move.

"A beautiful oasis in western sydney"

I have lived here in Claremont Meadows for 10 years. An oasis is the best word i can used to describe it. A peaceful oasis. I was hesitant to move so far out (coming from the Parramatta area) but the peacefulness of this suburb more than makes up for longer commutes. It's surprising it is so close to Werrington and Kingswood but has an entirely different atmosphere to those two suburbs. The streets are laid out in a curvy kind of way, it feels more natural and relaxing than the more common straight line grids of other suburbs. There are no high rise apartments, there are no apartments! It is all houses and maybe a villa or duplex occasionally. So it's low density, you have space to breathe and feel calm.

I have read home ownership is very high, this adds a more homely feel to the place. When more people own their home in a suburb, they're more inclined to care about their garden and house. As a result you see a lot of very nice, neat gardens looked after very well. Adds that extra bit of niceness to the place.

Good points
- Peaceful and safe
- There is a huge public park.
- It's fantastic to walk around the suburb and through this public park, great exercise
- There's a nice school (Claremont meadows public school) that has a big playground area.
- The new upgrades to Gipps st means you can get onto the M4 in about 1 minute.
- Close to the western sydney uni werrington campus

Bad points
- The good things, can also be bad for some people. You really need a car to live here. There is a bus you can get to St Marys station but it is quite infrequent
- There is only an IGA, there's a chemist, a fish and chip shop, and a bread shop, and a dentist! That's about it. It's enough to sustain you :)
- It is about a 40 minute drive to Parramatta during peak hours (this may be improved in time with the m4 being widened to 4 lanes up to Roper road)

What more can i say? I wish there more suburbs in western Sydney like Claremont Meadows. I wish there more suburbs in Australia like this! I wish more people were able to live in places like this. I think it would make people happier and more comfortable.

"claremont meadows is a beautiful place to live"

THIS AREA IS SO BEAUTIFUL,
We have recently purchased in the area, the new areas are amazing with beautiful homes being build, amazing neighbours, no traffic, it is a perfect place to live with a beautiful tranquil surrounding. We see kangaroos just hopping around the natural bushland.
If your purchasing land to build or are wanting an existing home you will love the area, and your making a great choice in area.
I would recommend too just be weary of Joe Parker he is not a very honest or nice person and the only agent i would not recommend to not deal with, all the other agents working in the area were great and very friendly.
