Reviews of Clyde, NSW
"Doesn't exist"
Serviced by one train station, but other than an influx of industry, it's really nothing more. Shopping amenities available in Auburn and Granville, but these experience frequent traffic congestion and what not, not very good suburb in their own right. Perhaps the only decent surrounding environ would have to be Homebush West or Silverwater, the former of which you can readily access shopping. Not very good suburb in its own right, as train station takes about a considerable fraction of land.
"Very small and almost forgotten suburb"
Clyde is a suburb located next to Granville, just before Auburn. It is about a thirty to forty minutes' drive to Sydney City. Clyde is a strange suburb as nobody would ever say they live in Clyde, they would instead say that they live in Granville or Auburn. Clyde has it's own train station but the trains are very unreliable and infrequent. However, it is only a short walk to Granville Station fro Clyde, so many locals catch the train from Granville Station instead.
Clyde is next to the car yards and industrial areas along Parramatta Road and everybody on the Carlingford train line has to use Clyde station to change trains. Also, Australia Post has a distribution centre in Clyde and you will often see many Australia Post trucks driving through this area.
