Reviews of Craignish, QLD
"Could be peaceful"
It is beautiful and at times peaceful, unfortunately towards the bottom end of Peterson Rd the peace is often interrupted by numerous barking/yapping and howling dogs of which owners do not seem to care. You will not hear them making any attempt to silence their dogs. This is all day and night! You also often get the 'thump thump thump ' of bass from people playing loud music. It seems some people do not care about others in the neighbourhood.
When they are silent, then you can hear the wildlife and the sea. It's a pity that you can't enjoy that peace more often.
"Semi rural feel , close to town and beach"
Green and clean area with quality housing generally , NO sandflies ( yay ! ) and good capital growth.
New Foodworks supermarket , Chemist , Doctors surgery and takeaway. Beach and golf courses / pub within 2 minutes.
10 minutes drive to Hervey Bay city centre , 7 minutes to Eli Waters shopping centre ( Woolies , Harvey Norman , other retail )
Many properties with sea and / or rural views ( the highest part of Craignish is about 120 metres above sea level )
Low crime area ( I'm not aware of any in my 11 years here )
Not in the airport flightpath so no jet noise ( another yay ! )
Residential and rural properties , great place for families as well as hobby farmers / horsey folk .
