Reviews of Fairfield Heights, NSW
"The heart of western Sydney"
I’ve lived in Fairfield Heights since the 1980s and it is a great area with fantastic community spirit. It’s safe - we have never been broken into or come across any problems - it’s central to major shops with a variety of shopping malls and options to choose from; it’s close to multiple schools, public and private, plenty of childcare centres and it’s close to major motorways m4 and m5. It’s also central to surrounding major western suburbs such as parramatta (20 mins), Liverpool (15 minutes), Wetherill Park (10 minutes from Stockland mall) etc. Its a convenient location and is close to some pretty good eateries too! Plus the local bread shops are the best... this is something you would definitely miss if you moved away! Who doesn’t love bread?!
The people in Fairfield Heights are a mix of 5th generation Aussies, older immigrant families who have been in the area for 30+ years plus new Australians. Everyone is friendly and there is a strong community - you will regularly see people out for walks with their kids or playing in parks. The only downside to Fairfield Heights is that many of the older houses on big blocks are being sold to developers who place duplex houses on the site. This has doubled the amount of people and cars parked on the streets.
