Reviews of Forestville, SA

"Peaceful and leafy suburb"

A beautiful little suburb close to the city and beach with tree- lined streets and friendly people. The only negative is the number of barking dogs that people don't control properly.

"A nice quiet suburb close to the city! Great transport options."

Very convenient to get into the city but a nice and quiet area. Good for going down to Glenelg on the tram or taking the train up into the hills. Leafy streets.

"GREAT location - love it here"

Leafy suburb tucked away minutes from the city. Well serviced by train, tram, bus, and conveniently close to both Anzac Hwy and South Rd. Great place to raise a family, but there are also smaller places with singles and couples around. SO close to goodwood rd restaurants and shopping, not far from other shopping centres as well as of course the city. One of the best things is the ability to walk to the farmers market on sunday - great community and great food. Parks are close by and well maintained, with a choice of several within walking distance. The playgroups and schools are good too. There is a local countrours gym at goodwood, and a swimming pool we can walk to, and the council has installed fitness equipment in the park which is greta if you are not a regular gym junkie. Bike paths have recently been added. There are barbecues at the local parks, and goodwood oval has sports teams for footy and hockey, and a tennis complex all again within walking distance. The blocks are geenrally big - and the area has surprisingly little traffic - and so is actually quiet except during show week. And at least then we can walk to the show. :)
