Reviews of Golden Bay, WA
"Family friendly, lots of green space and beautiful Golden Bay sunsets."
We moved to Golden Bay 7 years ago with our young boys, our boys in the meantime have grown into teenagers and attend the local high school, both Golden Bay primary and Comet Bay College have been great schools for our kids.
What attracted us to Golden Bay, first of all, was the amount of green space, lots of trees and being so close to the beautiful beaches. Secondly, the real sense of community spirit that still lingers here. Where the neighbours still know each other on a first-name basis. Golden Bay is a great environment for children to grow up in and my husband and I never regretted making the move from Tasmania to this little piece of paradise.

"Small coastal town with nice parks and casual atmosphere"
We have lived in Golden Bay for 3 years now. We have a teenager and a toddler. We love the quiet, casual atmosphere. Our house is only 300m from a beautiful park and beach and all houses are within walking distance of the beach. Our teenager gets the bus to school easily and there are some great parks the toddler. We have lovely neighbours who we catch up with regularly but not so much you get sick of them. There is not a lot of graffiti or crime in Golden Bay. Major shopping centres and restaurants are within 15 minutes drive. The area is mostly made up of retirees and young families.
Great for
- Every house is walking distance to beach
- Doctor, dentist, bottleshop and 2 convenience stores
- 5 mins to bigger shopping centre
Not great for
- Too far from city
