Reviews of Hamilton, QLD
"Friendly, convenient, scenic"
I purchased a unit in the portside precinct last year and couldn't be happier with my choice. I moved from a large house in a nice suburb but felt isolated and bored there. Now in Hamilton I feel happy and connected. I walk my dog along the river morning and night and visit the dog park every day. Almost everyone we encounter is very friendly and approachable for a chat. Cafes, restaurants, bars, cinema, groceries, retail stores, medical facilities... It's all here on your doorstep! My car only comes out to go to work. As for noise, I assume the other reviews were posted when the roadworks were being conducted, all done now beautiful new road completed, quite an upgrade on the bumpy old road it used to be. Cycle and pedestrian paths along the river all the way to Powerhouse passing beautiful parks where you can relax and enjoy the views. Eat Street markets has reopened and thriving. There's even a beach up near Hamilton reach where I take my dog for a run in the sand. Life is good at Hamilton on the river 😄

"Million dollars suburb"
I lived over a year in Hamilton, pricey but comfortable, beautiful, close to city, airport. little night life in Racecourse road. Terrible Kingsford Smith dr ever lasting road work.

"Expensive, limited facilities, busy"
Lived here for several years and despite its fancy label I wasn't a fan. The newer parts of Hamilton are very busy, infrastructure for roads was poor and meant constant traffic backlogs, in fact traffic was a nightmare and all the hundreds of new apartments just bought in way too many people. The new apartments also attract a lot of renters who like to party.
