For those that don't know, our town has Woolworths & Coles, professional services including accountants & solicitors, doctors & pathology, choice of public & private schooling, day cares, Police, Fire & Ambulance, various takeaway outlets (McDonanlds, Red Rooster, Subway, Noodle Box, Eagle Boys), Cafes .... out little town is growing and will continue to grow. Flagstone, an estate located within Jimboomba has been named as 1 of 3 satellite cities in SE QLD! We are also a very community minded town, with ‘Caddies’ providing the community with aged & disability support, family support, assisted transport, youth support, Caddies Kitchen, Caddies Meals-on-Wheels, Caddies Food Pantry, Emergency Relief, Caddies No Interst Loans, Caddies Free Tax Help. There are also many other community groups including Jimboomba Quota, Jimboomba Cancer Council & Rotary just to name a few!

Just a short drive to the M1 Motorway, it's an easy drive to Brisbane City, Gold Coast's renowned theme parks, award winning Mount Tamborine wineries and much of South-East Queensland's natural beauty.

Jimboomba is perfect for families wanting quieter, laid back lifestyle but still have an easy commute to Brisbane.
It has a vast mix of residential housing lots and acreage, over the past 10 years there have been many improvements made to the area.
Public transport is slowly improving with a new bus service recently added and many options for schooling.
If you are after a great coffee you MUST check out Cafe on Cusack!

I used to visit my cousins in Jimboomba as a kid and had a great time. It would be a nice place to grow up as a kid due to the endless backyards and option to own as many animals as you like. As far as amenities go, it was always a bit of a drive for us to find ANYWHERE to go out for lunch (besides Maccas or the Tavern). I believe this has improved a bit but my aunty still complains about it. Maybe I am just being a city snob, but I feel like the suburb kind of smells like horse crap no matter where you go. My aunty's neighbours are all lovely and help each other out. The community spirit here is quite nice..

We moved to Jimboomba from the Gold Coast so that we could have a Tree Change. We have a 3 acre property which is generally fairly quiet through the week as our property backs onto a reservation area. However some of the families in our street are into Motor cross riding so weekends can become quite noisy with the kids riding up and down the adjoining properties on their trail bikes - great if this is what you are into, not so great if you are looking for peace and quiet. I commute to southern Brisbane for work and it takes me an hour in travel time. The traffic has become worse over the last 3 years and Mt Lindesay Hwy has a lot more traffic on it these days due to all the new housing estates being built in and around Jimboomba. The shops and industry area are adequate for the area but for residents requiring more options, Browns Plains is around 25 minutes away. It gets very hot in summer and cold in winter due to Jimboomba's location so air conditioning and heating should definately be a standard feature in all homes, I wouldn't purchase a house without it! There is community spirit here and I feel like everyone knows me at the shops as you tend to see the same people every time you go out. The rates are cheap for the size of the blocks or acreages and we have good services here as far as garbage collection and annual kerbside rubbish collection goes. Crime rate seems low compared to other areas that we have lived in, however in the larger housing estate at Flagstone the crime rate is higher than the acreage estates. Internet service where we are is limited, we have to use the NBN Satellite which drops out quite regularly, mobile service is also a problem and we can only use one provider.

Where else can you buy a quiet and private property so close to Brisbane for the money you pay here? Matt Court is a five minute walk to Woolworths or Coles, great little specialty shops and just one of the three friendly schools for primary age in our community.One can just sit back and let the world pass them by. Truly wonderful.Two words sum up this lovely town- friendly, quiet.
