"One of the best places for young families to move in"

It is a vibrant place, with families and young children fully utilizing the parks, lakes, sports grounds, basketball courts, and much more. There are a few restaurants and a pub with good food and a nice vibe. There is a newly built primary school with excellent facilities and great teachers. The well-regarded Xavier College is adjacent to the suburb (the back door of the college is located in Jordan Springs). You can drive to Penrith CBD and Nepean Hospital in around 10 minutes.

"JORDAN SPRINGS - PERFECT FOR FAMILIES"

I have personally visited Jordan Springs on many occasions for personal & business . A very good main local shopping centre with supermarket, medical centre, cafes and restaurants
• Access to local schools, family friendly parks, walking and bicycle tracks
• Approximately 5km to the Penrith Central Business District, Railway Station, Nepean Private and Public Hospitals
• Approximately 6km to the M4 Motorway
• And will only be approximately 17km to the new Western Sydney Airport.

"Love living here 💎"

We've been living in this suburb for 2 years now. We are growing two children. Feel so nice and cozy as soon as we enter the suburb. We have all greeneries, 2 beautiful lakes along with walking trails, shopping village, sports grounds, parks. Kids started going to the new school from last year and it is feels great.

"Hidden Gem"

I moved here about almost 1.5year ago. No complaints at all.

I am impressed that people are good with good community spirit. This area has high owner occupiers and not many houses to sell on the market. Like any other suburbs, all good quality home are easily sold out or under offer when it pop up on the market. It took a while for me to get a great one with decent land size.
I do think that if you are a first home buyer with tight budget, this might not be a right place because you will end up having the basic quality home with little land (like investment property) .
If you want to raise a young family, this is the right place. A new primary school has been opened and everything is accessible within 10 mins even the Westfield shopping mall and station. Overall,Moving here to Jordan springs is the best decision ever

"Houses feel like "bigger units" and built in cheap materials. Roads feel like paths. So congested and artificial!"

Checked out new houses with friends looking for first home in this area.

Cons:
- Houses feel like "bigger units" and built in cheap materials. You can pretty much touch your neighbours house from yours :D.
- No privacy for houses as distance between houses are literally the same as you lived in units!
- Roads feel like paths, they are so narrow.
- So congested and artificial.

Pros:
- Houses are cheap for a reason

Roads in Jordan Springs are much wider than Kellyville or other suburbs!

The problem is not JS. It might probably be the budget and the high demand in property markets. All good home are usually sold quickly.

"Great suburb"

We have been here almost a year in JS. Beautiful suburb. Very impressed by local restaurant and cafes. Primary school and childcare with great small shopping complex where we get everything we need. Enjoy the evening walk in lakeside. Our house is 7 year old located in Jordan Springs. 10 mins drive to train station and Westfield shopping mall.
There is new development area in J.S East in Llandilo not sure about that area. But Jordan Springs itself is beautiful and nil issue at all.

"A Peaceful Friendly Place"

Now that me and my family have lived in Jordan Springsfor few years, there's not a thing I can think of complaining about. Nice family people all around- professionals, traders, old age folks; so you can expect a good crowd. Dog lovers too have a special place here! Lots of greenery, easy driving distance to Blue Mountains, a lake of our own, and good lawn fronts. Great neighbors from varying background cultures are all so friendly in our street.

The little market there is all you will probably want for your daily needs, and Penrith's "Westfield" is like 15 mins drive. There is a new school operating now, and they have setup some great infrastructure. I am not sure about ratings though.

Never faced the issue with security too. Some of the instances being reported about people from neighboring suburb being bin raiders or parcel raiders (or even car jackers) is something that is being a city wide problem more than the suburb based issue. I mean a$$e$ are everywhere, and there's nothing specifically alarming about it in this suburb.

If there are true negatives, they are minor for me (to others they may be more critical): lack of train station (nearest ones of Kingswood and Penrith are both 3KM drive), lack of proper bakery (its about 2 km drive to the one near Aldi), some tossers (again more of a nation-wide problem than suburb specific), and some streets being congested with curb side parking both ways.

So if you are on house hunt and thinking about JS to settle, lay your doubts to rest. Welcome to this little world and keep it clean.

We are in Jordan springs ( Not in Jordan Springs East which is not the same . Because JS East is a new development in Llandilo )

shams1

Jordan springs east is just the east part of Jordan Springs like the way you are in the west side . Central is the connector road with no houses. So just like the west side was a forest before the new development of JS project started, so was the east side. Not sure what you are trying to prove by focusing on the east side

"Best decision ever"

A hidden gem. All think Penrith is far away. But to raise a family you need good community, schools, childcare, shops, doctors, dentist, and many other facilities that this suburb has to offer within walking distance. This suburb surprises me everyday. It has everything we need as a young family. Commute to city is not bad with the Blue mountains trains. Or if U work in Parramatta it's under 25 mins. Love the friendly people and people with similar age group kids make it nice to connect to community. Lendlease being the developer has pumped in lot of money to bring great roads, infrastructure, parks, etc. Highly recommend for young families. Best suburb

"I am sad to be moving away"

Sure alot of people on the community page complain about the internet dropping out, the cats toileting on their lawns, the dog owners not picking up poop the local gp being useless most the time and teenagers and adults (who they say are coming from accross the road at cranebrook) tipping their bins, breaking into cars and stealing their mail or shoes off the front porch but I have lived here for 3 years and nothing such has happened to me. I am near the hilltop park and my neighbours are always at the front.
I enjoy the short drive to aldis, coles or woolworths. I live going for a long walk to the shops.
There are plenty of family friendly parks, the big lake is home to many ducks and the kids really enjoy watching them.
The daycare is a minute drive from the house.
Everything you need is at least 20 minutes away including westfields.
The new public school is about to go up.
Free council run playgroups for mums to get involved in.
Sure it got to 47 degrees last year and 49 this year being the hottest place on the planet but gee I will miss my home :( ...
Buses go through here also but I dont use them and the train station is 10 minutes away

"Country feel but close to the city"

JS has good open spaces with plenty of parks, playgrounds, bike & walking trails (included forested) plus 2 lakes to keep everyone satisfied. Good community feel with a shopping mall (another to be built soon), community centre and close vicinity to Penrith. Public transport is sufficient. Suburb layout is thoughtful and has good privacy.

"Very well planned, peaceful and full of facilities"

I live in Jordan Springs and am glad of the choice I made.
Its full of parks, lakes, shops at walking distance, well connected to transport and motorways, close to Penrith.
Its a suburb surrounded by bushland giving it privacy and quite. The people who live here are very friendly and down to earth with a sense of community, and I have never met anyone who regrets living in Jordan Springs. Unlike Ropes Crossing or other estates where there is mass building of homes without proper planning, Jordan Springs has been planned with the focus to give its residents a quality of life over anything else. The roads, homes built here are all some of the best in Sydney. It is a safe suburb and I wouldnt live anywhere else after living here.

"Best suburb in sydney to raise kids and enjoy family life"

Moved here 3 years ago and i cannot complain about anything. Its beautifully planned suburb with a great sense of community. Neighbours keep a watch ( although nothing happens ), Its at a good distance from the Big Penrith interchange with fast connectivity to the city and parramatta. I wouldnt buy anywhere else to raise my kids, great walking tracks and parks for kids. Well Done Lendlease in developing this thoughfully planned community for us.

"A real good move for us!"

So glad we chose this friendly suburb, especially with three kids we have a big backyard which we can still afford in sydney. Kids love it and so do we! Good neighbors and streets are peaceful. Great sense of security and not to mention the beautiful lakes!

"Clean, safe, convenient and affordable!"

Thoughtfully planned suburb with lots of greenery and two big lakes. Living in nature but at the same time having easy access to all facilities. Great place! You would always find people greeting one another(unlike majority of sydney suburbs)during walks and there is a strong sense of community among the residents. Recommend for young families and professionals. I am so glad we chose to buy here, it is part of crazy sydney but still affordable.

"Great Place to live!"

Moved to jordan springs a year ago and love it here. All facilities as gym, school( coming up soon) , woolies, chemist and GP around. Two lakes in area make it beautiful and you would always see people greeting during a walk. Glad we moved with young kids as there are plenty of parks and play areas for kids. The only thing it lacks is a good oub in the area. Else it is a world of its own with great community feeling.
