Reviews of Laidley Heights, QLD
"Surprisingly large numbers of excellent restaurants in close proximity"
I have lived in Laidley Heights since 2006. It is an area of mainly acreage size properties. Most home owners here are house proud. They do look after their property which means that the area looks taken care of.
The best part about living here is the proximity to some of the best restaurants anywhere in Qld. I am not kidding. There is the Cafe 4342 in Forest Hill with a chef who could work in the best places anywhere. The food is just superb. Then there is Emilys in Laidley. The fare is good but not brilliant. Finally there are two pubs that offer lots of good quality food at an affordable price. The National in Laidley and the Lockyer Hotel in Forest Hill. The shop keepers are all friendly and helpful and they remember your name if you become a regular. Unlike the city, the staff do not change constantly, so a friendly rapport can build up. These are my favourite things about living in Laidley Heights.
