"Lovely country style town"
A good country style town that has good services, schools, hospital and has had good recent growth. Lovely mix of countryside with great waterways. Also close to Scotts Head with its beautiful beach close by.

"Toxic, unsafe, grubby and degenerative."
Can't warn people enough to find somewhere else to live.
Intergenerational territorialism has rendered Macksville an old & sour population, backwards and grossly unwelcoming.
Unemployment is ALWAYS high.
Businesses frequently go broke or leave. Always empty shops in the main CBD. Council hinders developments. Roads always ripped up & potholed. Floods frequently block town and industries. Average schools don't compensate for the lack of everything else.
Stinks of mangroves.
