Mirrabooka, WA 6061

As I didn't want a huge mortgage with all the risks it carries, but still wanted a bit of space, a backyard and not be far from the city or the beach, I was attracted to Mirrabooka. I ended up buying an older house on 800 sqm of land. I have not looked back since! Grateful for this peaceful lifestyle, being so close to everything and not sacrificing the space. House needs a bit of love but nothing scary, it's a solid 1980s build. Mirrabooka village isn't very flash but has a great kebab shop. Also Mirrabooka Square has been renovated and it's a great. Great decision for me to buy in Mirrabooka.

Mirrabooka has changed a lot and the demographic keeps evolving with more and more young couples looking for an affordable place to raise a family. It's a great place to live.

Mirrabooka offers beautiful large blocks of land at an amazing value.
Mirrabooka will be the next investors hotspot once the market realise that it is so undervalued and it has so much potential. Literally a 2 mn drive away across the bridge, Dianella is so much more expensive. Yet, Mirrabooka and the North part of Dianella (which is luxurious) share the same road, the same shopping center, the same public transport and the same schools.
Mirrabooka is a great place to buy a first home or invest. It's entry price in the market and great growth potential. It has everything you need and is close to the city and the beach. I couldn't recommend Mirrabooka more.

I have lived peacefully in Mirrabooka for a year and I only have good things to say about this suburb.
The only downside is that it does not look very flash in certain streets, some houses are not very well maintained but the major part doesn’t look bad at all. Other than that, I was able to afford a large block of land with a nice view(great for family barbecues and for pets) and I share my street with lovely neighbours I can count on. That’s what matters to me. There are some good schools around and there will soon be train stations within less than 10 minutes in Malaga and Morley. Unless you need to live in the heart of the city, I really don’t see why you would chose anywhere else to live other than Mirrabooka. Everywhere else seems very overpriced once you have had a taste of the Mirrabooka lifestyle.

When moving house, there are many things to consider such as affordability, location, schools, transport, amenities, etc. Having reviewed many suburbs in Perth, I could not find one that came close to Mirrabooka in all of those areas. Is Mirrabooka a good suburb? Yes, Mirrabooka is a very good suburb. You will not find better value for money in Perth. It is quite close to the CBD, it has great infrastructures, very good schools, a major bus station, parkland, a big shopping centre and it is only 15-20 min to the beach. All of this at a very affordable price. It will not last for sure as people are starting to realise that the profile of the suburb has greatly changed over the years. It is now a very desirable area to live in.

I just want to address a question that has come up before: Is Mirrabooka a safe suburb? The answer is that it is very safe. I am a resident and I can say that it does not (or perhaps no longer) have safety issues. I feel comfortable in my home and with my neighbours. I have asked many neighbours what they think about safety in the area and all have told me that they feel safe living in Mirrabooka. This includes families with young kids and elderly people. Are there break-ins? Unfortunately, like in any suburb in Perth, it happens. Many of my friends and colleagues that live in various other suburbs unfortunately have break-in stories. My neighbours in Mirrabooka do not. I see kids walking back from school every day. I see people walking at all times of the day. I feel that I can count on my neighbours if needed. Mirrabooka is safe and has a great sense of community. It does not deserve a bad reputation. Many people are starting to understand this and the demographic is definitely evolving. It is safe, land is great value for money, it is within reasonable distance from the city and only 15 minutes from the beach. Not many Perth suburbs can match Mirrabooka.

Love living in Mirrabooka. Mirrabooka is a great suburb with great potential, being so affordable and close to the city. It's been improving consistently over the years. The crowd has changed, shops have had a major refurbishment, some new houses have been built. Watch this space!

I was reluctant to move in the area but got convinced by the affordable prices, I am thankful for this decision. It has been great living in Mirrabooka. I enjoy a big garden, we have a peaceful street, a vibrant shopping centre, and it is within reasonable distance from the city. I really can't fault it. If we had listened to those who only know it by name, we would have spent so much more money living in one of the neighbouring suburbs (which we stupidly did for a while) - However we asked the residents and all the families around us have been in the area for a long time and, young families and older people alike, all seemed to enjoy living in Mirrabooka. So we made the move and... yaaaay... very happy here.

Mirrabooka is quiet suburb close to all amenities. We have lots of friendly neighbours, many of them who have been living there a long time and would live nowhere else being very happy there. It is very multicultural.
The big shopping centre and the small one in the village mean that you don't have to go far to shop and I find that the prices of groceries and medications are cheaper than in most other places in Perth.
There are all the infrastructures needed included good schools, fitness centres, parks, etc.

I am not sure if its from its name of years ago and the old Rap the suburb used to have been here 10 years now.
Or if its Just the Real estate agents driving the prices of the suburb to sell houses, as i struggle at times when drive around further out suburbs no better or worse to find house 20-30 more expensive , having owned many houses over the years in a few major city every one has been dearear the closer to the city ? go figure live in Clackson which ant the great 50 km away and pay more ,i just don't get itf
