"Beautiful"

Fantastic place to live. Lovely beaches and historical township. Love living here, except in the summer school holidays when the town is inundated with tourists. You are then lucky to get a carpark to do your shopping or down the beach.

Has a pretty good community spirit and most people care about their town and beaches.

"Moonta - Steeped in History"

Moonta is a little coastal town less than 2 hours drive from Adelaide. The history steps back to the 1800's when Copper was first discovered and the mining population exploded. There are a lot of reminders of this era and many of the buildings and miners cottages still remain. Today, Moonta is a hustling bustling town during the summer months when the tourists converge on our little paradise. Moonta thrives on its tourism and in the cooler months of the year it is a lovely quiet town where the locals go about their daily business. There is a lot of development in and around Moonta and the people are so friendly, many family's origins come from the mining era. With its lovely parks, beaches, fishing, museums, clubs, pubs and cafes, why would you want to live anywhere else!!
