Nathan is a residential area surrounded by Toohey Forest. Many of the 80s style homes are being renovated. Its a quiet nice place to live amongst the trees.

"Privacy and nature yet so close to the city"
You can get a good size block where there is actual privacy and your neigbours aren't 1m away plus the people are friendly and some of the properties back onto the Toohey Forest which makes you feel like you are miles away from the city when really its not even a 10 minute drive away - 20 minutes in peak hour. Plus being so close to a suburb like Tarragindi, you get the benefits of all their shops etc but its much more affordable (for the time being anyway).

"Leafy and friendly"
Just a great quiet place to live. Fantastic leafy natural setting which is just as close to the city as most trendy inner city suburbs. Plenty of renovating going on in the area given the proximity to Tarragindi. Truly unique!

"Nathan - In a Forest close to a city"
I am finding Nathan a nice place to live. Having only purchased a house there in November 2010, I haven't been there too long but so far so good. Our house is in a quiet location one street away from Toohey Forest. A quick 25 minute drive gets me into the city for work each day and it is great to go back to somewhere which feels alot further away! Only down side is the lack of shops in the suburb but there are a few take aways, a Foodworks and a First Choice all on the doorstep. On the flip side, Westfield Garden City is a short drive away.
All in all, a nice place to live where hopefully the property value will rise steadily in the coming few years.
