Reviews of Newport, QLD
"The Best Waterside Suburb on the Peninsula!"
Newport is a great suburb with a mix of 90s and new development. The suburb is surrounded by water (ocean and canals) and is very suitable for families and couple who want to be out of Hustle and bustle of Brisbane. Public transport (Train and Bus) are located near by and there is a range of quality schools in the area. The development of Newport which is currently occurring should also offer up additional dining and entertainment options in the future. I believe Newport is a great place to live and represents a solid investment for future capital growth due to its uniqueness.

a picturesque suburb, great outdoor (parks, BBQ facilities, public toilets... along the water, are all very well maintained and managed), 22 km cycling path through Newport, Scarborough, Redcliff... is so beautiful, with great ocean views. shoppings are so easy too, Westfield and Costco, Kippa Ring shopping centre, all very accessible. Property prices are still very affordable and people are very nice and friendly!
I would suggest avoiding Kippa Ring shopping centre and go to Dolphins Coles etc for your shopping. Kippa Ring Mall is really is quite awful and un representative of what Newport is about. If you must hit the mall I suggest Chermside or maybe North Lakes.
Hi John, great review, thanks! I'm planning to buy in Newport on the water. We have 2 boys - 2 years and 8 years. Do you think Newport is a good place for kids of that age? Will there be other kids of that age?
