Two years working there, not recommended for families

Low socio-economy. Far from everywhere.

I worked a year and had to resign. Very low socio economy calture.

I have lived in Bomaderry, Worrigee and North Nowra and in my opinion North Nowra wins hands down. Close to some great walks, it is a quiet, safe part of Nowra with the best school in Illaroo Primary. Illaroo road can get busy at peak times but it is the only really busy street. North Nowra is close to the city which has great cafe's shopping and a cinema. It is also close to some of the best beaches in the world in JB. Housing is relatively cheap throughout Nowra, some of the better streets in North Nowra are a little more expensive but if you are thinking long term it would be well worth it.

My family have lived in many places across NSW through my husband's work and have found North Nowra our favourite so far. The village has a very small shopping centre (supermarket, hairdresser, newsagency, take away, butcher, post office, chemist, bakery etc) It also has a gym, service station, medical centre, child care centre and a school with one of the best reputations in the area. If there are things you cannot find, Nowra is only a 5 minute drive. 20 minutes to the beach without the tourists! Many leafy streets which are great for walking.

Affordable for first home and retirement buyers. Friendly and safe to raise a family with one of the best primary schools in the Shoalhaven, Illaroo Public School. Extremly low vacancy rate for the investor. Besides the traffic during school hours on Illaroo Road, North Nowra is a great place to call home.
