"Pelaw Main"
We love living in Pelaw Main - it's a quiet little suburb, but still close to mostly everything we need. Only 5 minute drive and you are on the freeway. 20 minutes to Wallsend.
Not many cafes or places to eat that are super local, but the vineyards are 30 minutes away and it doesn't take that much longer than that to get into Newcastle as well.
Neighbours are friendly and haven't had any problems with feeling unsafe.
