"A great place to live."
I moved here because of the attractive affordable homes and easy commute.
There are new homes being built around and surrounding suburbs and with works to the badgerys creek airport and revamp of liverpool cbd. not sure how long it will be so affordable...
We are within a couple of minutes to m7,m5 , hume hwy and camden valley way. Takes me sometimes only 21 mins from prestons to sydney airport.
Shopping is decent.
Westfields liverpool, carnes hill stocklands, casula mall and Costco (big fan here) are within 5 - 8 mins
Great selection of local and private schools surround this particular area.
Lots of parks scattered around.
Good neighbours and people who take pride of their homes.
Kids love it. I love it.

"mostly newer houses"
Prestons is a newer suburb, used to be farms but in the last 15 year has been subdivded & newer house built. There is still land being sold & houses built so you can get anything from 15yrs old to a brand new home.
Great for families, lots of schools & childcare centres. Has a little shopping village with an IGA, a chemist, hairdresser, butcher, bakery, newsagent & pizza shop. Only 5 minutes to a bigger mall and only 10 mins from Liverpool Westfields.
The council aren't very good, the public transport isn't great unless your catching a bus to Liverpool. If your going anywhere else, you really do need a car. Easy commute to the city from Glenfield station - can get to Central in 40 mins on the express train down the East Hills line.
Also has a retirement village for those looking to retire. Wouldn't be all that exciting for singles though, no night life & not many places to eat out.
