Reviews of Tarraganda, NSW
"Great community spirtit"
The community spirit in Tarraganda is unsurpassed. Consists mainly of larger family homes on small acreages set amonst the beautiful rolling hills, neighbours are 200m+ away, but will always say hello, stop for a chat and look out for you.
Very peaceful, but also less than 5 minutes in to town. Can get very cold in winter (sub-zero overnight) and hot in summer (over 40 C - few days a year). Early morning fogs are actually very beautiful & lift fairly early, unless you are right down on the river.
Tarraganda Country Club (with great golf course) is the focus of the local's Friday night socials, where members make basic meals on a roster basis, for under $10. Everyone goes, old to very young, (kids can run around). You often several generations of one family.
