Reviews of Tingalpa, QLD
"Tranquil Suburb Close to Everything"
Tingalpa has such a wonderful feel to it and offers something for everyone. Tingalpa is conveniently located, with quick access to the M1, airport,
express transport and all major amenities. Westfield Carindale is on your doorstep, as well as a number of great local schools.
The suburb borders Belmont, Manly West, Wakerley, Gumdale and Murarrie. Although just 10kms to the CBD, Tingalpa presents excellent value for those looking to rent or purchase in the area. Tingalpa is surrounded by beautiful parklands and is a safe, family friendly suburb.

"Peaceful Family Suburb"
We moved here when I was pregnant and it has been the perfect place for our family. So peaceful, safe, friendly people, great location for parks suitable for toddlers, nice area to go for a walk and close to wynnum esplanade if you want to go for a walk or bike ride with water views.

This is one of the best suburb in Brisbane: Quiet, not too far the city, leafy environment and good building and neighborhood. No big factories and close to the beach.

"Nice suburb"
Tingalpa is in a great location. Close to the bay, within 10ks to the CBD and not far from Carindale shopping centre. It is a family friendly suburb with lots of close by weekend activities on offer. As a first home buyer I was very tempted to buy here however was disappointed with the typical size of blocks of land (usually 400sqm -500). There are bigger blocks but they are rarer.

"I'm a first home buyer - this is a great suburb"
Being new to Brisbane, I wasn't very informed of specific suburbs, however when it came time to buy, I found Tingalpa to be the strongest contender. It is close to the CBD (within a 10km radius), a short drive to shops and has easy access to the Gateway Motorway heading to Sunshine Coast or the Gold Coast. I either had to buy a unit in a more popular suburb or I could buy a townhouse (3 bed 2 bath) in Tingalpa. In terms of good value for money, I am definitely very pleased with the area and i'm hoping that it picks up in popularity over the next few years. Cannon Hill is only a short drive away and with the addition of a residential and shopping precinct developed by the same people who did Emporium in Fortitude Valley, it should hopefully boost the area. Public transport is great with plenty of bus stops and only a short drive to the train station. Overall a great suburb to live in and I feel very safe!

"Fantastic location!"
I used this website before I moved to Brisbane, and it definitely steered me in the right direction as I have now been living in Tingalpa for a little less than a year and am so happy with the area! It is just so easily accessible, only 15 minutes to the city, 5 minutes in the opposite direction to the bayside area (Wynnum/Manly), shopping centres are never more than 10 minutes away! Its great because you have the benefits of having the city so close without the chaos and other nasties that come along with the city itself. Public transport is great too! I dont have much to say besides that it is a great place to live, providing an awesome balance between city and suburban living.

"Very convenient to everything"
Urban renewal has seen a widening of Wynnum rd and Gateway, upgrade to shops, making access fantastic and Quick into the CBD by bus or a short drive to train. I used to live 12km north of Bris and it took a lot longer to get into cbd than from Tingalpa. 70km speed limits help and less lights and less major intersections make it a much better run to CBD from Tingalpa. Parks are a plenty for our young one and Wynnum a short drive which is great for family days or riding there for fitness. Good shopping with woollies, Coles and aldi close by where we do our main shopping. We top up at the IGA several times a wk which has good fresh food. Tingalpa is a suburb that a lot of people settle into and don't want to leave according to lots of my friendly neighbors who have seen it transform over the yrs. We love it here and intend to stay for a long time.

"Convenient for everything"
A great suburb with excellent access to the CBD - buses take 20 mins and the gateway and wynnum rd are very convenient too. I used to live over on the north side, Tingalpa is a lot better with wide rds, arterials etc. Shops very handy with Aldi, cannon hill and carindale shopping centre close.

"The perfect gateway between Brisbane and the Bay"
Situated between Cannon Hill and Wynnum/ Manly, Tingalpa is the perfect place to call home without the pricetags associated with the Bayside or inner city. At approximately 15km from the CBD it is the perfect balance of suburban lifestyle and large blocks without the hustle bustle of the City. Easy public transport and close to major shopping centres, Tingalpa is a great lifestyle choice and also boasts great local schools.

"Access to all of brisbane and the SE at your door step!"
Buying in Tingalpa is a great investment! It central- schools, parks, pubs, shops, next to motorway, 12km to city, 5 min to bay, 5min to carindale. And all of this still within a reasonable price range. everywhere off Wynnum rd is quiet and we have some of the largest park areas in brisbane. If you want to head to the gold or sunshine coast its no trouble to find the motorway and head straight there.
