Reviews of Toongabbie, NSW
"Great place to live"
I live locally and I’m a local real estate agent. Great connectivity to Parramatta and Blacktown, Tway buses on the northern side goes to Westmead and Rouse Hill.
Plenty of parks, Reynolds street has a get park for young children with a full basketball court.
Great primary schools, good train access to high schools, and sought after family run cafes across the area.

"Nice little suburb with just about all you need for a family!"
Toongabbie feels undiscovered since it is quite nice but house prices are still relatively decent. It has really interesting ethnic food options, plenty of high-quality child care centres, highly rated public schools and good public transport access. If and when they update the local Woolies and shopping centre, it will significantly lift the suburb profile.

"Great suburb that's very central!"
A great place to live with good schools and a central location not too far from Sydney CBD but also in close proximity to Parramatta (sydney's 2nd CBD) Great transport links via M4,M2,M7 & Train station and close to enough drive to Bella Vista light rail. Great parks and walkways and all local amenities one would require. Decent property priced compared to surrounding burbs.

"I concur, Toongabbie has everything you need and is a relatively undiscovered gem!"
Close enough to the city yet it's not as built up with wall to wall appeatments like some suburbs. The suburb overall is well maintained, houses and gardens are taken care of and the council seem to keep all the trees and grassed areas tidy. I wish Sydney still had more suburbs like Toongabbie

"Leafy, friendly well kept and only 11 mins on the train to Parramatta"
A direct train to CBD or Nth Sydney regularly, which is great! I moved here recently after a lot of research and I'm still very happy. Toongabbie is tidy, well presented and Microburbs give it a 9 out of 10 for safety, where nearby Parramatta receives a 3 out of 10! Toongabbie is close enough to everything for convenience but it's a totally different and far nicer world.

"Great suburb to live"
We have been living in Toongabbie east for 4 years. It is nice and quiet and very central to most parts of Sydney. We have all the major roads at our door step for eg. M2, M7, M4 Great western highway, Cumberland highway, Old Windsor road, James Ruse drive and many others. We are also close to major Shopping centers eg. Parramatta Westfields, Blacktown and the smaller ones are Toongabbie, Pendle Hill, Seven Hills and Winston Hills. If you are a home renovator you are only 10 minutes away from 3 different Bunnings North Parramatta, Seven Hills and Buena Vista. Public transport is great eg. Walking distance to Pendle Hill or Toongabbie train station. Also close to bus T way. This area was a great find.

"My hometown - but there's a bad element crept in"
Toongabbie is what I know - my whole family lives here. But in the last few years the ethnic minorities have started fighting each other in the main street. Stick to the east side or Old Toongabbie and you can't go wrong.

Nice streets with pretty trees too!
Toongabbie used to be a great area to live in, I say this as a home owner that lived there for 12 years, i sold my house 2 months ago! If you want to see ice users walking around, asking for money and cigarettes then buy here. It was safe to go to wollies grocery shopping and safe to go up main street.
Alot of the stores i used to buy from are all gone, take away shops have been replaced, they are of the same culture. The commonwealth bank is gone, its now a small convenience store.
Like I said it is not what it used to be. This is my personal experience.
"Excellent place to live - very homely!!!"
We have been living in this suburb for almost five years. The new shopping centre and restaurants have increased the value of this suburb. It's a very quiet and family friendly suburb. Expect the price to shoot up very soon!!!

"Typical suburb in Western Sydney"
Toongabbie is a suburb in Western Sydney. It has a lot of one story houses that sit on big lots of land. The houses here are low key but well maintained. Most of them have big backyards, garage and a front porch. The train station is along the Wentworthville, Girraween, Pendle Hill stretch so it actually has a rather frustrating timetable with only about two trains an hour servicing the station. There are shops around the station like your usual bakery and supermarket, but nothing exciting and the restaurants are all the usual grease serving take away shops. There is a Toongabbie leisure centre in the middle of Toongabbie with gym, tennis courts and squash courts so enthusiasts in the area have excellent sports facilities.
Hi Mcboko have you tryed The Blend? thats a PRO!
