Reviews of Torquay, QLD
"Beautiful little suburb just avoid urangan street!!"
I’ve lived in a few places here and enjoyed it, most places are pretty quiet and friendly. Except Urangan Street! There’s a block of units that seem to always have tenants that follows, screaming and blaring music most nights, fights In the middle of the street. Police are almost always there for something. Not a very family friendly street, wouldn’t purchase a house in this street...
"Stunningly beautiful, peaceful, friendly"
This is the best place on Earth. I searched for months looking at the best weather in Australia and settled on Torquay in Hervey Bay. It never gets too hot or too cold. Southeast trade winds cool in summer and northerlies keep in warm in winter. 60,000 people love here but only a handful of them go to the beach. Everyone is friendly and the beach is very safe with no rips being a Bay, I love swimming there all year round.

"Bustling beachfront suburb"
I love Torquay.
I live in neighbouring Urangan which is excellent because I get to walk to the great restaurants and enjoy the beach and foreshore parks then head home to my quiet house!
Torquay is a typical tourist hub - restaurants, cafes 'beachy' shops, barbecues and kids playgrounds on the foreshore; a great holiday atmosphere most of the year round.
Torquay boasts the best restaurants in Hervey Bay with Coast Restaurant leading the way - casual dining, great food and the best service - you MUST try it if you visit.
