Reviews of Wangi Wangi, NSW
"Visit and consider real estate"
We have moved south from Tweed Heads/Coolangatta after 20 years to Port Macquarie. We visited Wangi to consider home options. This area certainly is very pretty and has a feel like that of Pittwater Sydney. The sound of peace while we sat near William Dobell House in the park admiring the scenery of the lake, boating, ducks and walkways. From what I have seen and researched Wangi seems to tick most of the wants and needs. 😃
"So lucky to live here"
After living in Sydney most of my life, my husband and I had enough of it's hectic lifestyle, and we're looking for a change. Had never heard of Wangi Wangi let alone Lake Macquarie!
As soon as we saw the lake and drove in, we knew we were home. We bought a 1948 ex miner's cottage on Watkins road, on the high side of the road. We have water views at a bargain price!
That was 6 years ago and everyday we look out and think, how lucky we are.
Fantastic community, village feel, walk to shops, parks, clubs, Wangi Point.
Wangi RSL hosts the NYE and fireworks activities.
Anzac day March and celebrations. Sailing regattas, water ski races, sailing groups for kids.
Sir William Dobell House and art gallery.
Surrounded by water, picturesque, abundance of fauna and flora.
What more can I say... come and visit... you won't be disappointed

Great suburb, everything you need, shops, schools, clubs, etc. 19 minute drive to Railway station. Good community atmosphere. Feels like you’re on holidays and 1000 kms from Sydney.

"Unique on the Lake"
Wangi Wangi is a unique locatin on beautiful Lake Macquarie. Being a peninsular with a 30 meter green belt right around the perimeter it does not have the suburban feel that other locations have, it's more relaxed and scenic. In fact you can take a wonderful 360 degree stroll for an hour and enjoy water views almost the entire way. The ambiance of Wangi Wangi is relaxed and safe. You feel as though you live in a special place that others cannot match. At the end of peninsular is a large reserve of natural bushland creating a haven for native birds and animals. The reserve is within an easy walk for most locals.
Being long and narrow you are surrounded by water and after all, isn't that one of the main attractions. Your are therefore truly blessed if you live at Wangi Wangi. Walk to everything, a five minute drive to the railway station and a relaxed easy going ambiance and you have a little bit of paradise.

"WOW - What a Suburb"
A waterfront peninsular with many waterfront reserve and water view properties, Wangi has a village type atmosphere. A range of quality shops and Wangi Hotel, Sailing Club, Workers Club and the RSL, makes this area a great place to live. A number of Sydney investors/weekenders have already discovered our secrets.
