Looking for a home in Yanchep?

"Love it"

Have lived in Yanchep for 21 years. Seen many changes over that time. Some good some bad.
The beach is beautiful. The national Park on your doorstep. Some great cafes. When people say it's too far - I say too far from what?
It's a great place to live, still has that community feel about it.
Would take a lot for me to move from here.

"Away from the hustle and bustle"

Having lived in a few different suburbs in Perth, Yanchep is hands down my favorite. Being 45 mins from the city you really do feel like you could be anywhere in Australia. Yanchep is surrounded by beautiful bushland with the national park, also has a golf course and has one of the best swimming spots at the Lagoon. Yanchep really does have something for everyone and caters for all age groups not just that but most people that live in this close knit community are also really friendly and would do anything for their neighbors.
As of 2022 we will also have the train line running to Yanchep which will help cut commute times and easily link us to some of the more busier suburbs.

"Affordable Coastal Living"

Yanchep used to be thought of as an area that you would go for a weekend getaway! However over the past few years that has all changed! With the road improvements and growth - Yanchep is now a very affordable suburb for people wanting a coastal lifestyle! I think the perception of Yanchep is that its miles away from anything - but in reality its only 25 minutes North of Hillarys Marina!
For people looking for lifestyle that is relaxed, where community is important AND where your budget to buy is under $400k - this is definitely an area worth considering!
My parents often tell me that 40 years ago - people considered Mullaloo a 'weekend getaway' area - and now its one of the most sought after coastal suburbs.

"Stunning beachside lagoon"

Peaceful beachside suburb. Amazing coastline with lagoon at the heart. Access to the national park and bush trails. Great for walking and biking especially the Yaberoo heritage trail from Yanchep to Joondalup.
Starting to grow and amenities slowly coming.
Hopefully the train line and freeway will be hear in a couple of years.
Feels differant to your standard suburbs mote relaxed holiday beachside feel.

"A great place to kick back and relax"

With the Yanchep National park, Yanchep Lagoon and Sun City Golf Course, all the lovely parks and playgrounds that are being built its a great place to bring up the family. Where we live the only noise you hear are the black cockatoos and the odd kangeroo coming for a hop up the street is not unusual!!

"Get away from it all."

Want to get away from the rat race but still be with in easy reach of a major centre? Yanchep is 45 kms north of Perth and is joined to the town of Two Rocks here there are some beautiful unspoilt beaches and is near Yanchep National Park with its unique vegetation and wildlife. There are also caves and Aboriginal heritage sites. Locals and visitors to the area can also enjoy swimming, fishing, bushwalking and diving etc. there are some good restaurants here and a café as well as shopping facilities for your basic needs and being so close to the major shopping centres in Perth is a definite bonus when in need of major retail therapy. There is a pre primary to secondary school and medical facilities are close at hand. Being out of the city environment you will find Yanchep a very friendly and community minded place and real estate prices her are moderate for both rental and purchases. Many people use this area as a weekend or holiday destination and are in awe of those lucky enough to live here permanently.

"A small coastal town north of Perth. Not a lot offer, buy why?"

It almost seems strange that Yanchep is not more popular. It is only 45 minutes drive north from Perth and I could never understand why more people did not go there. Sure it does not offer some of the more glitzy things that you might want in a holiday, but it is lovely and quiet and the beaches are spectacular.

The why I thought is because it is a natural progression for tourists to go south for the cooler weather, often sheltered beaches etc. and the towns and cities further south have consequently developed more and have more to offer the tourist. Hence, a quiet Yanchep.

On top of that the highway leading north, the Brand Highway, does not even go through Yanchep, so really it all comes to a bit of a dead end. Still I can imagine that in time to come there will be more development in the area and it will become more popular, probably as an upmarket quiet getaway for Perth residents.
