Every morning I open the front door to a green open park where the birds meet the morning sun in the tree canopy of green and gold. I love this part of Brisbane. We like to be away from the city buzz. This area is close to the highway, but segregated by a hill that keeps all the noise to the road. A lovely family community that echo with kids playing in the later afternoons when the sun is behind the hill. The hill and trees give us more time to spend outside in the shade. It is very quiet in the evenings. Like us professionals that do need to have a quiet spot to study and work in the evenings from home, it is a nice environment to be in. A diverse street with cultures from around the world. Belmont shopping center is near and provide all the basic things you would require from your local store. Dentist, IGA, Bakery... with good pies. And if you spent too much time in the sun, the liquor store is there to...go stand in the freezer and choose that cold beer you deserve. There are a couple of child care centers to choose from in the area and you still fall within the catchment area for Belmont primary school. This is our first home in Australia, this is Australia to us. We have learned so much from everyone in the surrounding areas and think this is a great place to stay.
