Like any parts of Melb, Sunbury has nicer areas and some not as nice, and really it comes down to your budget. The estates like Jackson Hill, Rolling Meadows, Sherwood, Canterbury Hills, Strathearn, ETC are better, as the blocks and houses are bigger and newer in most cases, but the minimum to get in to these areas will be 450K and up. Then there are areas that you can get a house for approx 280-300K, and like the saying goes, you pay for what you get. But again the cheaper areas wouldn't be "no go zones" just smaller older houses on smaller blocks. I have a friend that lives in Goonawarra and he has been there for over 20 years so don't be put off by some of the comments. The only problem with Goony is that there are some houses owned by the dept of housing so there can be some problems with rowdy neighbours, but that's luck of the draw.
Hi,
Hi I would recommend any pocket of Sunbury. It's beautiful out there, great shopping centre, dining, takeaway, hospital, new land estates and a nice country feel.
Thanks
