How's Sunbury to live with family?

Where are you looking to live? There would be areas that I would recommend, Jackson's Hill, Rolling Meadows, Sherwood, Emu Bottom, etc. Then there are areas that I wouldn't recommend like goonawara. After 10 years here, I can's say I've had a problem, my kids are well adjusted teenagers, so from a family perspective, its been a good place to us.....My advice, is drive around and you will see the areas yourself.....and remember its Melbourne's biggest suburb by area, so there are lots of areas that are very different

My Aunty lives in the middle of Sunbury and they're a well to do family and have never had any problems there. Their kids are happy in great schools and their house is lovely! And although everyone says Goonawara is gross, my nan has lived there for 5 years and has never been broken into or anything like that.

I would say it is the best for family, you will have space, clean air for children. New library, global learning centre is coming soon. The area l live is very quiet and secured. We have forgot to close our the garage door overnight a few times and it is still okay.
