What are the good apartments in Surfers and Southport?

Hi All
im looking to relocate to gold coast shortly and want to rent a high rise apartment. would love to here from people who have lived in or currently live in one of the big buildings such as Q1, southport central, como crescent etc. it seems there are only a couple of really high ones (im talking 20+ floors) but it seems some of them can be a bit decieving, ive read a lot of bad feedback for Beachcomber and Infinity apartments. Any help with this would be wonderful!
FYI im looking to spend at most $450 / week

Consider Main Beach, Has the best of both worlds, Handy to both , but far nicer to live everyday, mostly residential, so fewer idiots/louts/drunks/and kids that think its fine to walk from the pool directly to the lift.!!We almost bought in Q1, so glad we didn't,, good luck either way..
