I'm confused by the extreme opinions of Surry Hills
I'm single and looking to move to a nice area - one geared towards professionals who are single - I'm currently in St Leonards.
Apparently Yellow Pages recently did some Lifestyle Index survey:

"the best place to live for Singles in Sydney [is] Surry Hills"
"The best suburbs in which to live across all the life stages didn't escape the survey. Across the nation these hot spots are Surry Hills in Sydney."
For a suburb that gets such a good index in a survey, I wouldn't expect some of the very negative opinions I'm seeing.

The opinions expressed here are those of the individual and not those of Homely.com.au.
