Is there much criminal activity in Tamworth?

Tamworth has a fair share of crime..like any major city in Australia. Sometimes a group of bad people come to the city and the police will slowly round them up, and during this time there might be a spike in crime. Unfortunately it seems society is heading toward future generations where some young people believe we owe them money so they can walk around and do nothing, and when they get a bit bored, or we haven't given them enough cash that week, just for kicks they'll break into a house. We seem to have a steady rate of minor break and enters, car theft, etc. Major crime is very rare ( Violent assaults, murder,rape). So if one looks at it from that point of view...its a great city to live in.
