Reviews of Teralba, NSW
"Fantastic Location and beautiful new estate"
We are former Sydneysiders (northern beaches) and we love Teralba. There is a cute coffee shop ‘Maddz on york’ . The new billys lookout estate is packed with gorgeous homes; not your usual project homes... take a drive and you will see many costal / hamptons style
builds that really fit the location being just 5 mins from the lake. Billy’s is getting quite expensive as many families want to move in, particularly from Sydney, but there are some beautiful options in old Teralba and we love watching the fixer uppers taking place! We run a real estate (Home in the Hunter) and we have loved introducing buyers into the area and hearing how much they love it! The community is super tight knit as well. I’ll never forget running out of children’s Panadol one night while hubby was away working and posting on the local Facebook page for anyone in the street who may spare some, and receiving about 4 bottles within 10 minutes on my doorstep! Amazing!

"Good and bad"
Teralba is rural-ish but has a train line going straight through and lots of industrial factories. So it can be noisy and smoggy. Like much of Newcastle though! There is also an open mine a few kms behind it. The new Billy’s Lookout development is beautiful with gorgeous new homes and a real community feel but the rest of teralba is rundown houses and a small depressed half shut shopping village. Main teralba is populated by retirees and the down and out... who mainly come from the long stay caravan park. Hoping to see nice coffee shops etc move in but don’t think that will be likely until the industrial moves on. Most people drive to nearby Warner’s bay.
"Close to Everything"
This sleepy village has seen some tremendous interest over recent years. Buyers are flocking to Teralba as it is semi-rural, close to Toronto and also close to the supercentre at Glendale.
