Family of 4 looking to buy in The Oaks
Hello. We are a family of 4 (children are 9 and 11) and looking for a home in Sydney (and considering away from Sydney). We have seen several properties that are lovely in The Oaks. I am unfamiliar with the area but have visited a few times. Is it good for families? High Schools? What is (if any) the crime rate? Are there plenty of parks, sports grounds, shopping, etc?

Hi Silvm,
The Oaks is a fantastic place to raise children. Extremely friendly & the people are very welcoming. I have lived there for many years, went to school there & my children go to school there. The nearest high school is 10 mins away. Crime rate is fairly low. There are 4 parks and a sportsground catering for Rugby league, netball, cricket, tennis, horseriding school, and a bmx track is on the cards. Shopping is met with a local IGA, scruptious bakery, cafe, charcoal chicken shop, medical centre, gym, hairdresser, barber & a new large medical centre is on the way. When are you looking to buy as I may be selling soon? Or have a home of interest to you as I develop as well.
