FIX THE COAL TRAIN NOISE AND POLLUTION around TIGHES HILL and MAYFIELD
Is the residents of TIGHES HILL and MAYFIELD as sick of coal train noise and pollution as I am?
Have you phoned 131555 and complained about it?
I have written to both female state and federal members in Newcastle about this issue,
I turn they wrote to State member Frank Sartor and Federal Member His Honourable Anthony Albenese.
Albenese says its a state issue and has no jurisdiction over coal train licences.
Frank Sartor says the licence holder manages the issues.
This being the case lets pass the buck and firewall the protests against operators that continue to break EPA laws and disturb the residents to no end 24/7.
Well, anyone got some comments about this?

So sick to death of being woken at all hours of the night and day by these trains shunting. This morning I was woken at 2.25AM by what I thought was an explosion..... but no it was only yet another train flanting the restrictions and shunting. WHen will someone actually do something to stop this so we can get some well deserved sleep?????

It's currently 3:41am and I was woken by a train 40 mins ago and I can't get back to sleep! I only moved to mayfield a year ago (coming from the beautiful seaside town Stockton) I never expected them to be such a problem! It has gotten to the point were in the summer I can't sleep with the window open AT ALL! I hate them so much and would do anything to make them stop or at least quieter down a bit.
