Advice living between Bundaberg and Hervey Bay

We are looking to purchase a home between Hervey bay and Bundaberg on the East coast.

We have two young children so interested in a community with great schooling, hobbies and that is safe.

We love the beaches (especially ones we can use yearly) and a nice community atmosphere.
Having young kids we also need access to shops etc.

Preferably looking for somewhere that isnt heavily midge/ sandfly infested.

Any recommendations are so greatly appreciated
