a bus runs into the bay daily at 9 am and returns from centro now Stocklands at 2:00pm

Ops, I forgot the one Bus a day.

If you want severl buses then don't buy in toogoom and there are 3 other buses that go to the schools aswell

I think Toogoom is great. I own beach front, but having lived here a long time proToogoom I will point out the cons as well as the pros in this or any community. Toogoom is great but originally from the big smoke I think it is important people realise the public transport as it stands, is an issue for anyone who would want to travel to and from work during business hours. P.S. I don't have to stick any url links in my comments, so as to sell the new greatest get rich quick scheme! As I thought, another Spruiker with alter motives aren't you Protoogoom.

Toogoom is mainly for retirees the fact is there is a bus run now I was simply pointing out there is a bus run, you alluded there was no transport the fact is buses do run into centro daily

P.S if I want to post a link that shows buyers and sellers a way to buy property with no stamp duty and it help moves this dreadful undervalued market because my property and many others have lost thousands some 50k+ since the the GFC is that really a bad thing.

I have been here 12 years when there were no bus runs or eli waters shopping centre or yarilee primary school

it takes 13mins to drive to eli waters shopping centre how long does it take to get anywhere in the big smoke...

It has been pretty harrowing living in Toogoom - people wandering around with beer cans and bottles at hand. Had a neighbour come bashing at the door threatening to get her husband to come beat me up with a baseball bat as she does not like ' freaks ' ( yes I had to call the police on the inebriate female ) . I am afraid to go out on my balcony in the evenings as there is usually a couple of large men drinking beer at the end of my driveway talking rather loudly - sometimes yelling at eachother... Lease up in ten weeks and I can hardly wait to leave!

I have heard of this street but can't pin point. Hoping to avoid the dodgy area and keen to give Toogoom a go. Any clues?

Stay away from Swan View St and Brackish Court would be my suggestion. In saying that the new local real estate agency has worked hard to get the undesirables moved on and the neighbourhood is getting better.

I live in Brackish Court and I've only ever had an issue with 1 lady in the street, and that's because she thinks she's better than everyone else... Because she has a bus

Buy the land and build. Toogoom is absolute paradise on the beach and 15 minutes from town. Forget the negative comments from whingers (you'll always get them) and come and enjoy!

Hi, we are looking to seachange & came across Toogoom. We're after a quieter life rather than the hustle-bustle of the city. Saw a couple of properties/sites of interest. Desmond Drive, Lewis Court & Porpita Circuit, are these in the better part of the town? Also, is town available to the township? TIA

Town water and mains sewerage is to all houses. Porpita is a new area; all good areas. Love Toogoom.

little no no employment opportunities there is plenty both hbay and maryborough have plenty of jobs yes there not high paid like other locations

housing commission type estates I don't know where your looking but most people in toogoom own there home work from home etc Just becuase they look like the bogan type and they are at home most of the day does not mean they are not some internet guru,trader,millionaire.

crime well don't move to hervey bay brisbane sydney melbourne etc all have shocking crime rates as do several towns the same size or smaller then toogoom.

I have travelled along all the queensland coast toogoom is well under what the homes should be selling for some small beach towns 100klms from any decent size shopping are going for at least 50k more then toogoom stop selling so bloody cheap and loosing everyone including yourself money.

Here's a hint you investors selling for peanuts and loosing money hold your property until the market comes back up which is in the near future can't afford to hold

think outside the box

rent to own vendor finance etc not only will it cure the burden it will also help your hip pocket.

banks want huge deposits vendor finance the deposit part if need be

Have just built at Togoom 2018 and there are some nice family homes here. Real Estate is cheap as is best kept secret!. There was we believe crime few years ago but thanks to a gutsy lady and police force were told many of the undesirable renters have been moved on. It is not a perfect world anywhere but seems lovely here and have noticed a lot of families are living here, as well. The pros and cons of anywhere is you don't know what your neighbours are like!
There will always be helpful sincere people whereever you live and the I don't know how to be a nice neighbour person which is unfortunate even if you are friendly. We live in Queensland and should be thankful that we live in a great part of Australia.

Housing commission slums? I think you're disoriented mate because that certainly ISN'T Toogoom. Have you been smoking something and got lost?
