"Just Beautiful, everything you could ask for !!!"

Having lived in the area for many years I am bias, I live right on the edge of the Gums reserve a beautiful creek setting filled with a variety of native plants & wildlife. Living arrangements vary from units, modern courtyards and townhouses to character mansions on large estates, definitely something for everyone, perfect for bringing up a family within easy distance to Firle Shopping Centre on Glynburn Road & Great schools !!! Need I say more....... I love Tranmere !!!!!

i would say not good for anyone who has big noisy parties because so many nurses and other emergency service people have always lived here and often need to sleep at odd times of the day and night.

"Tranmere, Where Else Would You Live????"

Tranmere is an excellent suburb, with most of the facilities.15 minutes and your in the city! You have got surrounding shopping centers in different suburbs surrounding Tranmere: Newton, Burnside (takes 15 minutes in current traffic) and among others.

Also, Tranmere is absolutely friendly with the most friendliness people you will know! The 'Nightlife' here isn't very good. There isn't much things to do here at night, however, drive to the city or catch the excellent Pubic Transport from (which is the closest to Tranmere) its probably Paradise Interchange. The houses here before were old, now turned into courtyard homes to more expensive larger homes.

The parks here are EXCELLENT!! The Gums Recreation Ground is the excellent park (Tennyson Avenue, Tranmere). The facilities here are fantastic with walking trails, benches, huge land space for the adults and kids, and other.

Tranmere will boom in the future...and its going through it very quickly with the suburb bulldozed and turned into a familys paradise...

P.S: Why is "Safe & Sound" been selected in the NOT GREAT FOR SELECTON? It should be in the GREAT FOR, with other ones which should be in there:

"Tranmere- friendly neighbourhood."

Tranmere offers a locations where you are central to everything. Shopping at Firle, Banks, Restaurants, all within close proximity. A hidden gem is the well renowned Poet's Corner. Being directly over Magill Road and in the Campbelltown City Council Zone the rates are significantly cheaper than over Magill road into Kensington Park which is in the Burnside City Council Zone. Top Tip...
I rate Tranmere as a **** star location.

its four star since a few new people moved here and have noisy parties lately, those sorts never stay long and are most unpopular with other residents.

yes, we don't need to go outside of our area too often, unless we need fringe or the festival theatre.

"A good spot near the city for families and couples"

Tranmere is a small residential suburb, with a number of large homes (many recently renovated) and courtyard homes, and some brand new apartment blocks offering sweeping views of the eastern parklands and the CBD.

The suburb offers a range of services including a large supermarket, post office and a couple of coffee bars. However your best bet for shopping in the nearby firle shopping centre, just opposite tranmere, which is a huge complex offering everything you need - a large Coles supermarket, a number of gourmet food shops, pharmacies, a huge range of clothing, shoe and jewellery shops, hair and beauty salons, post office, banks and a number of cafes and coffee bars.

The location is very convenient to the city. Just follow magill road or payneham road and you will be in the heart of Adelaide’s CBD within minutes, although take note that traffic on this road can come close to a standstill during peak hour. Public transport is easy and convenient, with frequent buses during the day.

"An increasingly prestigious suburb that is still improving"

A great inner city location that is still on its way on the up. It is getting more a more expensive in here and in many ways it is still worth it. Depending on the street, you could be in the most beautiful street in Adelaide .

The blocks are often of a good size and the older houses are stunning. However, while many have been restored there are still a number that need a bit of work.

It is close to the city and well serviced by public transport so if you work in the city this is a great spot. Eastern suburbs lifestyle but with affordable price tag...yet.

"Feels like home"

Tranmere is nice suburb to live in. close proximity to good restaurants in Parade Norwood. There is everything you could possibly need.........shops, restaurants, library, schools, aquatic centre, parks, gardens...............and the list goes on. If you are inclined to move here, then i would suggest sooner rather than late.

It is a gorgeous area that is not beyond anyone's means due to a wide range of accommodation, from mansions to studio flats. With a range of homes some including Beautiful renovated villas, new contempory homes & units there is something for everything

Travelling to the CBD is very easy. Just a 10 minute drive to the heart of the city (closer to 20 minutes in peak hour), or otherwise just catch one of the frequent buses and you'll be there in about 15 minutes.

"One of the best suburbs in Eastern adelaide"

This cozy little suburb is nestled between magill and hectorville. Close to good schools and colleges. nice place to live for young families. short distance to city and very leafy suburb. It is best kept secret of eastern adelaide. Most of houses are new in Tranmere and are replacing old timber frame houses. It is very trendy little suburb. Close to good schools and eating joints. Great place to raise family. Love It.

"Friendly convenient neighbourhood"

We have lived in Firle for 14 years. We have great neighbours, almost perfect. Always there if you need anything. Access to public transport is great. Plenty of schools and shops close by. Traffic not too bad. Can get busy late in the afternoon but after that its ok. Lots of parks nearby also.

"A good area for families and young professionals alike"

A feature of Firle is its shopping centre, proximity to the city and easy living. In the inner east it really is a nice area.

There are some newer houses and townhouses as well as a few older houses.

Firle is close to the city and the trip in is quite easy and quick. It is also not too far from Norwood with its wealth of eateries and shops, as well as the Cinema and bars.

In off the main streets it is quiet and feels nice and secluded.

Firle is a nice area for young families and young couples and singles that want the proximity to the city and Norwood but can't afford the suburbs that little bit closer in in the east.
