"A suburb that's grown up into a star performer!"

I have lived in the Upper Mount Gravatt area for most of life, though did move away for a few years until I bought a house here 16 years ago. When I was younger I thought Upper Mount Gravatt was boring - you couldn't even get a decent coffee here back in the 80s! Things have changed however - Upper Mount Gravatt has blossomed into a very liveable suburb only 11km from Brisbane CBD. There has been a lot of development here in the last few years, so there is a good choice of houses on medium to large blocks and new units to buy or rent. Upper Mount Gravatt is very handy to the motorway and also has great public transport links with Garden City Shopping Centre as a major transport hub. Shopping is amazing at Garden City Shopping Centre, you can find most of the big stores like Myer, Kmart and Target as well as smaller specialty retailers. There are also cinemas and a multitude of restaurants and cafes to choose from. Some of my favourite cafes in the local area are Hallowed Grounds, Little Black Pug Cafe and Kith ‘n’ Chow. There are also some excellent schools in the catchment, both public and private. Mt Gravatt Showgrounds is also a great venue for markets, festivals and concerts. I live in quiet street at the base of Mt Gravatt mountain and I wouldn't live anywhere else - I have lovely neighbours, we get lots of birds from the bushland behind us and we also go walking on the hiking tracks on the mountain. I am so glad I returned to this area after living in Sydney and Melbourne - there is no comparison for lifestyle and affordability (even though prices have gone up recently).

"Family Friendly Suburb With Great Accessibility To All Of Brisbane"

I have both lived and worked in Upper Mount Gravatt and from my experience it is a brilliant spot in Brisbane. The suburb has long been one of the major centres outside Brisbane's CBD. The area contains plenty of green spaces, parks and bikeways for those that love the outdoors, and for those avid shoppers, Westfield Garden City is in the heart of the area whilst Westfield Carindale is only a short drive. For young families, the 4122 area is known for it's plethora of good quality schools, featuring two of the state's top 10 rated high schools (as of May 2020). Due to it's central location on Brisbane's southside, Upper Mount Gravatt has great accessibility to Brisbane's CBD, the Airport, Sunshine and Gold Coast via it's close proximity to the Pacific Motorway and Gateway Motorway and also has excellent public transport due to the South-East Busway. If you're looking for a family friendly suburb that has it all, Upper Mount Gravatt must be on your short list!

"It has everything close by and very safe"

I live here and its perfect. My street has a new park/playground at the end of it. You can walk to Westfield Garden City shopping centre which also has the best bus service to the city. It has an award winning bakery 150m away. It has a new southside leagues club over the road. Has a Goodlife gym 100m away. Many businesses including state and federal government officers are close by allowing me to walk to work. Easy jump onto the M1 highway and still close to the gateway. Super safe suburb. University and Hospitals very close. There are weekend markets and lots of sporting facilities in the area. I bought an apartment here and love it, just wish i could afford a house in Upper Mount Gravatt.

"Perfect access to North, South, East & West"

Not too many suburbs where you can get incredible access to all major freeways that take you to the Gold Coast (40 minutes), Airport (25 minutes), City (20 minutes) and Sunshine Coast (<90 minutes) and Toowoomba (< 2 hours). For this reason, the locals call the Upper Mount Gravatt precinct the "Centre Of The Wagonwheel". Great schools, great shopping and ever increasing places to dine out make Upper Mount Gravatt a hidden gem for families with children and professional couples alike. Excellent sporting clubs for children first class access to public transport. I studied here in the 80s and have come back to live here since 2001......and still absolutely love it!!!
