"New bogan neighborhood with plenty of commission homes and Fitzroy style apartments"
When I first moved here 3 years ago I thought it was going to be a beautiful place to start a family. How wrong I was. Were being flooded with commission homes and apartments which is doing major damage to merndas reputation and to the value of our properties. Small builders are sweeping through now building tiny shoeboxes only suitable for investors and community housing and the defence housing. Trucks are also a problem thinking its ok to drive like crazy down mernda village drive. Families are getting fed up and moving to doreen but are trying to sell their homes at unrealistic prices in this market. We wont be here for much longer and are planning to move out of this doomed suburb! Good luck everyone get out while u can.
Not great for
- Trucks
- Bogans with commondores
- No shops
- Resale value
- Traffic and no decent transport
While i agree we do have a lot of community housing projects i will disagree with the rest of your rant! Do you really believe Doreen doesnt have the same "issues" as Mernda?? Cmon get real! Lots of tiny blocks, lots of town houses, units/apartments and terrible traffic congestion. I dont know about the value of your property but mine has increased since we moved in, maybe you live in one of those shoe boxes you speak about? I'm quite happy with the smaller homes in my street as it makes mine look all the grander and that will obviously help with resale. Enjoy your dreamy Doreen and i'll look forward to reading your next rant about how bad that is :)
I agree with your comments about the whingers. I love the area ad well and my property has gone up in value since moving here 2 years ago. There is good and bad where ever you go.
Good riddance maybe move to London complainers fit right in there :)
