Prospect

"A beautiful suburb yet within 5 minutes from the city!"

Prospect is an very inner-northern suburb located in the city of Adelaide. The neighbourhood offers a lot of potential, and is the perfect place for anyone! Here is a few things about Prospect. Prospect, can you believe, is close to 5 minutes from the city! How good is that? So close, you can even take the excellent public transport into the city.
The neighbours are also very friendly, and will make you very welcome if you plan moving here. When you drive or stroll down Prospect Road you feel like you are in the city, but more like a town. It is known for it's great liveability in Prospect. Back to the topic, Prospect Road has a lot of things to do and enjoy. I won't spoil the suprises now! The area seems to be pretty clean and green most of the year, so I rated it great. Public transport is excellent.
The traffic in peak hours in the mornings and after-work hours in the afternoon along Prospect Road can get a little busy, so you might have to take the streets throughout Prospect. The streets throughout Prospect are beautiful. The tree-lined streets with a mixture of the old bungalows to the modern 2010s houses blend in very nicely. Footpaths are well-kept. The area is generally safe, and sometimes has a little to no crime. But don't worry, that doesn't stop it from being one of the best suburbs in Adelaide! Shopping options are great, with the options along Prospect Road, the city, Tea Tree Plaza, etc. The cost of houses in the area tend to be expensive, just pointing that out to you.

So, what are you waiting for? Start looking for a house in Prospect! This could make your life so much relaxing and easier. Lovely area to raise up kids in! Start thinking now!
PROSPECT.

Holden Hill

"Such a Lovely Area with all the Amenities All in Close Proximity!"

Holden Hill is a eastern suburb situated in the city of Adelaide. Now, I have visited here twice, so I know a little bit of the area. Holden Hill is only 15-20 minutes away from the city, which is not so far. Literally, it is close to all the amenities that you need! Shopping, schools, parks, eateries, gyms (there is one in Holden Hill called Holden Hill Gym, owned by Good Life Fitness Gyms. Visit their website for more information) and many more. Tea Tree Plaza (Modbury) is surprisingly more or less than 5 minutes away! Get your shopping bags, and head over there! It's a great shopping centre. Public transport is rather excellent, with the O'Bahn Busway in Paradise, buses going and coming from the city - as well as the normal buses on the roads in the local area. Parking is good, too. Parks are great, with the Thorndon Reservation Park in very close proximity (right next to Holden Hill), and there are lots of other lovely parks in the area, just to point out to you. It is very peaceful and quiet here, so if you mind the quietness, this is the place for you! It is also very safe, and there is really no crime in this area.
So this is my review about Holden Hill. If you would like to comment, please do. If I have missed out on anything, go to the star ratings. Hope this helps if you are deciding to live in this beautiful area, Holden Hill!

Great for

  • O'Bahn Busway
  • Parks and recreational
  • Just about everything!
  • Close to everything!

Mawson Lakes

"What is not to like about Mawson Lakes? It's awesome!"

Mawson Lakes is a northern suburb situated in the city of Adelaide. The council it is located in is the City of Salisbury. There is more positive than negative about Mawson Lakes. The positive list is that it's 30 - 40 minutes away to and from the city centre. Public transport is rather convenient, with the Mawson Lakes Interchange, where it's an interchange stop for buses to stop and go into the city or out further in the northern suburbs, as far as Gawler (correct me if I'm wrong). House buying in Mawson Lakes is cheap or some houses are even expensive, so in between. Residents in the Mawson Lakes area love to keep their house clean and tidy, with either cleaning their front yard, cutting the lawn, cleaning the house, etc. Probably 97 percent of the residents are very friendly, with people saying hello to you in the street, parklands or along the lake trails. There is a main lake that run through Mawson Lakes. There are also houses lining up along the lake, which looks pretty. As I mentioned 'lake trails', there is a fairly large and wide walking trail along the lake where you can walk along or ride a bike. It looks beautiful at night, though. There are a lot of eateries to choose from along Mawson Lakes Boulevard as well. But the best one is the Mawson Lakes Hotel (Main Street). Check out their website for more information. The suburb is generally very safe with no break-in's, car drive-by shootings or anything else like that. The internet isn't really that great, but there might be something at the shops which makes the internet faster. Parking is good, with quite a few parking spots. Shopping is ok, but not all the best. But who cares?! You've got Tea Tree Plaza at Modbury, and the city. So not really something to argue about. There are some really great parklands in Mawson Lakes, along with playing fields, playgrounds for the kids (they love them!), and long trails for the fit people, adults, bikes, or even an evening stroll.
It's also a very green suburb, as being one of the greenest suburbs in SA, because of no water restrictions. The security of the area is fairly great, with a lot of security cameras around to keep you safe and secure (security cameras aren't in the houses, though!). So, yes. This is my long review about Mawson Lakes. Hope it helps!

Great for

  • Close to shops
  • Friendliness
  • Parks, lakes,
  • Beautiful, clean, incredibly green, safe, quiet, and friendly neighbourhood

Not great for

  • Internet
  • Traffic on Sailsbury Highway, Main North Road is much more beter to head into the city

Paradise

"One of Adelaide's Eastern suburbs"

Paradise is an eastern suburb surrounding Campbelltown and Athelstone suburbs. Paradise was established in 1850. It is about 20-30 minutes into the city, depending on the traffic. Also, there are not many high quality restaurants or cafe's in the area, and should be developing some soon. Some street houses aren't all that great. Some houses will be neat and tidy, while most of the houses will be old and run down, and not well look after, which makes the area very un-pleasent. Public transport is excellent, with the Adelaide O'Bahn and bus stops throughout the area.
That is all I know about PARADISE. Hope this helps a little bit!

Great for

  • Parking
  • Linear Park
  • O-Bahn - Quick city access.
  • Thorndon Park Reserve

Not great for

  • Some houses aren't very look-after.
  • Needs more cafe's
  • Not many high quality restaurants
  • Very little problems!

Actually Youll Find That Paradise is Classed as a North Eastern Suburb Being on Lower North East Road

johng100

Sorry Mac...the whole Campbelltown area including Paradise is the last eastern suburb of Adelaide before it becomes a North eastern suburb in the ttgully area..the geographics state this as well.. the north eastern was thrown in ..in the 70's to make it easier for people looking to buy in the area as back then Athelstone, paradise weren't well known like areas such as dernancourt, Windsor gardens Modbury ECT..it was to give these new comers an idea where they were heading..I did my history homework on that one...realistate firms, sporting events, scouts ECT will state north eastern..but if you want to be 100% right ..it's actually still an eastern suburb...which should be classified as that..

Golden Grove

"Feels like a small community town!"

Golden Grove is a north-eastern suburb about 35-40 minutes out of the city (if it is longer or shorter to get to the city from Golden Grove, correct me). It is so beautiful. Out of the running and mock in the Adelaide CBD is Golden Grove: a somewhat suburb and township mixed together. Golden Grove has been around since the 1990s as it started off as a small suburb. Then, over the 2000s and 2010s, it has shops, schools, fitness centers, you name it. Nearly all of the streets in Golden Grove have a astounding view of the hills or just the landscapes in the area. People seem to look after their houses very well, with either the residents watering their plants, cleaning their yard, etc. This shows that they want to keep the area the same as it is: clean. Which I think is a good idea. People are very friends and neighborly here. There are lots of park lands spread across Golden Grove, with playgrounds for the kids, trails and gazebos. Overall, Golden Grove is definetly an eye-opener, and it is for someone or a family who wants the basic local buildings. Good luck!

Great for

  • Well look-after streets and houses
  • Good schools
  • The people! And, everything else!
  • Family orientated
  • Pretty and green
  • Safe
  • Beautiful loction with scenic streetscapes
  • Everything!

Not great for

  • Not close to the city.

Ingle Farm

"A great starter suburb"

Ingle Farm is a suburb just after Walkley Heights and is in close proximity to popular shopping centers, etc, in the North East. The residents that live in the area are average. They kind of look after their houses, but not as much as the surrounding areas. It is around 25-30 minute drive to the city, 30-35-40 minutes to the beach, 10 minutes to TTP (Tea Tree Plaza) and 15 minutes to Golden Grove Village. So, for a starter house finder that wants to live in a simple suburb, this will be the perfect opportunity.

The only disappointment about Ingle Farm is that the houses are old, and should be refurnished. Other than that, its good for a starter. Its also average safe and pretty quiet.

Great for

  • Shops
  • City and beach
  • Great starter residential area.

Not great for

  • Old houses. Should re-furnish the area.
