I was born and bred here in Tenterfield and it was a terrific place to grow up in. Yes there may be better opportunities elsewhere but it all depends on what you want to get out of life. I’m only young and have achieved so much, having purchased my first house and owning a car and having a solid working career. It is a great starting point and gives a young person many opportunities to enter into the real world.
There are still a lot of young youths here today who have chosen their career paths and got an apprenticeship and finished their schooling which I think is great, and once finished if they chose to move on good on them. Tenterfield is great for kids to grow up in but I guess there’s not too much here for the older kids.
Tenterfield does have people here who have made different choices in life but every town does! If you want to get married young, or have babies or do whatever it’s their own business as long as they are happy who cares.
