Farrington Road

"Great access to local shops and public transport"

Farrington Road runs from Karel Avenue through Leeming to the Kwinana Freeway overpass (and then beyond). Leeming Forum is located on this street and has lots of excellent shops and services such as Leeming IGA, chemist, Brumbies, Chin's, Coles Express, Prima Pasta, Dominos, etc. The 515 and 516 bus routes run along Farrington Road in front of the Leeming Forum, giving extra public transport options.

Farrington Road is a single lane road with four roundabouts that keep away large truck traffic and enable free-flowing traffic at all times. The Melville Council has taken a strong position that Farrington Road remains a local single lane street, and that it not become a de-facto Roe 8. This street is pretty quiet most of the time. The road is well lit and has lovely maple-like trees along the median strip.

The south side of Farrington Road offers a variety of professional services like doctors, dentists, physios, allergists, chiros and vets. There is also a popular child care centre on the corner of Farrington Road and Casserly Drive which adds to the family friendly vibe.

"Beautiful cul-de-sac, especially during Christmas"

Quiet, safe and friendly street. At Christmas time each year the house owners band together to transform this street into a lighting display extravaganza, which is loved by both local walkers and those driving from far away.

"Convenient, safe and friendly"

Great street with good access to public transport and Leeming Forum. Excellent footpaths for taking the kids or pets for a walk. Lots of friendly neighbours also out walking. Houses have lots of greenery and are well kept, making for a pleasant walk. Not much traffic so very safe and quiet. Great if you are a cyclist as it's a short ride to Kwinana Freeway PSP, with minimal roads to cross.

"Brillant suburb - safe and friendly"

-Excellent Leeming IGA. Open 7am to 10pm. A short walk away. ATMs, Post Box, newsagency, chemist and Video Ezy Express Kiosk in the same complex.
-Larger shops a short drive away - Bull Creek and Southlands. Spud Shed and Good Price Pharmacy also nearby.
-Lots of food options nearby - Chin's, Prima Pizza and Pasta, Farrington's Cafe & Gourmet Deli, Brumbies, Holy Mackerel fish n chips, Ichirin, Ruby's bakehouse.
-Hospitals - Fiona Stanley and St John of God Murdoch are 5 minutes by car. Fiona Stanley has a separate ED for kids. Both have maternity wards. Perfect if you have children or are expecting a child.
-Murdoch Vet Hospital is nearby and is open 24-7.
-Public schools have good reputation - Leeming Primary, West Leeming Primary, Leeming SHS.
-Private school options nearby - Corpus Christi, All Saints, Kennedy Baptist College.
-Bunnings - O'Connor, Melville, Willetton, Spearwood all a short drive away.
-Cycling PSP to CBD - right along the freeway and river, hardly any roads to cross due to numerous underpasses. 17km ride to the city.
-Farrington road bus stops next to Leeming Forum are serviced by the 515 and 516 buses. Only a short walk to these stops. These feed into Murdoch station - a quick trip north or south to get to most places.
-Choice of South St or Farrington Rd exit for Kwinana Freeway South. Good traffic flow during peak hour. Only builds up after the Farrington Rd exit... which does not affect Leeming.
-Good access to either Roe Highway or Kwinana Freeway. South Street and Leach Highway are close by. So quick and easy to get to most places.
-Most houses are on large blocks. Many are rectangular and flat.
-Neat and tidy suburb. Have never seen any rundown, unkempt or abused properties.
-NBN is HFC. No FTTN rubbish.

Very safe
-Low crime rate - just compare other suburbs using the police.wa.gov.au website. Leeming is often the lowest or close to the lowest.
-Lots of families going for walks, even late at night.
-Bright underground street lighting.
-Melville security patrol responds promptly for any issue.
-Murdoch police and fire stations are nearby.
