Bardon
"Brilliant Bardon"
We've been forced to think about moving from Bardon and I feel so sad! It's a beautiful suburb: great parks, hilly backdrop, no through traffic, gorgeous forest and walking tracks and, increasingly, very good cafe options.
It's nice and close to Paddington for shopping/restaurants/bars and is surprisingly central for such a "fringes of the city" feel. We especially love being so close to the State Forest and it's been a wonderful place to hang out with our little daughter since she was born.
I adore that I can get to the city in 20 minutes even in peak hour, and duck around the back Mt Coot-tha to be at Indooroopilly even more quickly.
