"quiet street but not a lot of natural light"
beautiful new apartments in the 2000s but not enough light to stay long term.

"quiet lane-like street with north-south aspect"
short walk to everything: groceries, shopping centres, the city's best cafes, bakeries, restaurants, eat streets, art galleries, big green spaces, literally everything you need to live well. terrific inner city suburb. neighbours chat if that's important to you.
only con is the price $$$ as it cleaned up and gentrified. surpassed even darlinghurst in this regard. not for big families unless lucky to access one of the multi-level terraces or residential warehouses.
